My sister and brother in law sent us this for our anniversary.
Isn’t it fabulous?
Let’s see…when was that…
JANUARY
I carried it all over the place
and
COULDN’T DECIDE
where it looked best.
I always thought it was a dining room piece
but
when the dining room was red
it didn’t look right somehow
BUT NOW
it’s perfect!!
I searched until I found where I had put that
rusty white bird hook
now……which spot was best…..
I was already contemplating filling this empty space above the
leaded glass window
YES!
Hung the bird hook
Hung the pot
Hmmmm….a little puny for the spot
Looks a little lonely doesn’t it?
Scrounged around for some plates
and added two ironstone platters and two pierced creamware plates
Much better……
A little polishing and she’ll “shine like the top of the Chrysler building”
Makes you wanna sing “It’s a Hard Knock Life” doesn’t it?

Now when my sister gets here in two weeks
she can see her lovely gift properly displayed!

I like the change….do you?
Wow I think you found the perfect place. Plus with the plates around just perfect!
Oh I love this. Several (and I mean several) years ago I bought the components to make something like this based on one saw in my favorite store. I like this one better. I see a copycat in my future! It looks beautiful but I think you should experiment with it about 6 inches lower so the bulge of the pot is fully in front of the wood. Of course I can’t see it in person and sometimes pictures can be misleading. The dining room looks so pretty now!
What a pretty piece and idea maker, thanks for sharing!

I couldn’t help but smile when I saw your wind chime! Adorable!
That is such a pretty teapot chime! I think you found the perfect spot for it too.
I’ve got some wind chimes made from vintage silverware, but mine aren’t attached to a fabulous silver teapot! It has a Cinderella feel to it. Very creative.
Oh-That looks great there- What a neat, neat gift! xo Diana
Oh my goodness, what an adorable teapot for hanging. I love it! You found the perfect spot and the added ironstone platters finish out the arrangement perfectly.

Cute silver chime. Looks wonderful with your plates. I have to go back and see how you did your dining room walls. I love that effect, Lorraine.
