Good morning all!
Hope you enjoyed the small series on inspiring movie houses.
If you missed it, you can find the first one here
Today I want to show you how I display my milk glass.
I can’t remember when I saw the article in Martha Stewart Living, but it was about how beautiful milk glass containers are when lit from within by candles.
I immediately pulled out all my milk glass….a pitifully small collection….and tried it.
I fell in love and have done it many times since then.
In case you missed the article, I thought I’d show you my display.
Remember, these pics had to be taken in the dark with my little point and shoot camera
so don’t expect too much!
Ever since I first tried this, I have kept an eye out for milk glass at the thrift stores
My little collection of white birds fit the scene perfectly
I’m adding in some Valentines decorations as I go….they fit so well with all the white
I love the soft glow…
makes the cheap decorations from the Dollar Store look really good!
The one really nice thing on the shelf is this sweet little paper cutting made by my
daughter. Isn’t it darling?

Do you have any milk glass?
All those years ago when I started my first collection of cast off stuff no one was yet saving….. I sure wish I would of picked something pretty like milk glass or any glass for that matter. I picked rolling pins. They now sit in a drawer.

It is really hard to know what to get rid of isn’t it? But there are people who would love to have a bunch of rolling pins too, I’m sure! To each his own….

I forgot I had made that for you! It looks nice on the shelf. I love all the milk glass! I have some pieces now from Mama, I need to light mine up! The display looks great!
I love that little papercutting…it is just so sweet!
There was a time when I had several milk glass vases, but I had to finally pare down my collection for lack of space. I like milk glass because it is so versatile and since it is simple and white, it can fit many different design styles.
You have a beautiful collection so far! Enjoy your thrifting!

The photo-voltaic panels collect energy from the sun, convert it into electricity, and store it in battery
cells somewhere inside the home. Some with the drawbacks
of the systems is that it may not be dependable. “Windfarms” or clusters of wind turbines are used all
around the world.
