I saw this idea a couple years ago at a cute local shop called Topiaries.ย
I suppose it’s what you would call a “statement piece”.
Just a bit over the top but SUCH fun!
Just a bit over the top but SUCH fun!
You’ll need:
a grapevine wreath
a package of raffia
and then a bunch of trims, tulle, ribbon
or anything else that can be tied around the wreath
let your imagination go wild!
here’s a peek
I tied long strands of raffia around the wreath
I put it over a floor lamp so I could work on it easier
What is it?
Can’t tell you yet…..
Then I tied on long strips of tulle and netting
And began adding strips of trims
And ribbons
What is it?
And rickrack
I found a tiny wired flower garland in my stash too
Have you guessed?
When I was done, I found an urn and an egg
and
here’s my Nest Egg
Need a better picture?
How’s this?
Or this
and last but not least……
I love it…do you?
